Call for Posters and Demos
ACM WiSec 2020 solicits submission of posters and demos. The demo and posters sessions will be part of the main conference, which will be held from July 8 to July 10, 2020 in Linz, Austria.
We encourage all authors to submit your posters and demos to ACM WiSec 2020 despite the current situation with SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19. ACM WiSec 2020 will be held as a pure online/virtual conference (no on-site event). We are currently working on an event format that will allow for poster and demo presentations.
For posters, authors should submit a two-page extended abstract that provides sufficient technical details so that the evaluation committee can assess the technical merit of the work. The poster abstracts do not have to present a completed work, but at the same time should provide enough concrete evidence to support the potential and validity of the proposed ideas.
For demos, authors should also submit a two-page extended abstract that describes the technology that they have developed, the relevance to wireless networking and security, and which also highlights the novelty of the prototype. For demonstrations, the abstract should include an additional page that describes what conference participants will be able to see or do during the demonstration. Demonstrations should have a research component and, in particular, should not push a commercial agenda. Please consider that the demo session is purely virtual. You could account for this by creating a video demonstration, self-explanatory online portals, etc. Please describe your expectations/requirements for the demo session in a separate e-mail to the posters and demos chairs in parallel to submission.
Both types of abstracts should follow the ACM WiSec 2020 formatting guidelines (with a 2 page limit for posters and a 3 page limit for demos), and the authors should refer to the paper submission instructions for information related to formatting. All poster titles must be prefixed with the keyword “POSTER: " and all demo titles must be prefixed with “DEMO: “. Posters and demos do not need to be blind. Abstracts of accepted posters and demos will be included in the conference proceedings. Please submit your poster or demo proposal through the conference management system. Detailed submission instructions can be found here.
Registration requirement
At least one poster/demo author must be registered as poster/demo author by the author registration deadline, and present the poster/demo at the conference.
